My Approach

My therapeutic approach begins and ends within the relationship. My belief is that change occurs within the therapeutic relationship when a solid, relational foundation is created within the bounds of authentic connection, trust, and safety. The core of my work is based in Relational Theory and Narrative Work. From this perspective I see the importance of uncovering themes and patterns that took place in past relationships, and family of origin dynamics, as a way to gain personal perspective and empowerment, as well as to provide the potential to create healthier patterns in current relationships and life situations.
